Hotel Le Milie Rose, located in the 10th arrondissement, is a beautiful boutique-style hotel in Paris—but for me, it became so much more than just a place to stay.
A few months into my travel journey, I found myself craving something I hadn’t realized I was missing: comfort. A space that felt familiar. A place that felt like home.
Traveling, while beautiful, can also be costly—especially when comfort becomes something you sacrifice. I had stayed in many hotels around the world, and more often than not, they didn’t quite live up to how they were described. So when I flew into Paris from Indonesia, I wasn’t expecting anything extraordinary.
But then my sister told me she had found a hotel that felt almost like it had my name written on it. She said it might be exactly what I needed—and she was absolutely right.
The moment I walked into the reception, I fell in love.
Throughout my travels, I’ve been fortunate to be welcomed with respect, and I’ve built a solid reputation as a thoughtful guest. But there was something different about this place. Something intentional. The kind of warmth you can’t fake.
Whoever owns this hotel must have handpicked every single employee. Each person I encountered was incredibly kind, gracious, and genuinely welcoming. I have never felt more at ease checking into a hotel.
The design only added to the experience. Soft pinks, touches of gold, and a quiet nook area with a small library—it felt calm, elegant, and deeply inviting. On the lower level, their breakfast space is just as charming, with beautifully set tables where you can enjoy a morning meal for just 14 euros. It felt like something out of a picture.
And then there was my room.
I walked in and instantly felt peace.
The layout was simple, yet intentional. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious, complete with a rain shower that made everything feel just a little more luxurious. Yes, like many Paris hotels, the room itself was on the smaller side—but what it lacked in size, it more than made up for in comfort, safety, and warmth.
Whether you book a twin room, a comfort room, or one with a balcony, I truly believe your experience here will stay with you.
But what makes this hotel unforgettable isn’t just the design or the rooms—it’s the people.
A genuinely kind and accommodating staff is rare, but here, they go beyond that. They create an experience. One where you feel seen, welcomed, and cared for in a way that lingers long after your stay.
And speaking of lingering—there’s one detail I can’t leave out.
The scent.
If you ever stay here—and I truly think you should—pay attention to the signature scent throughout the hotel. I don’t know if it’s the emotional connection I’ve formed with this place or if it’s simply that beautiful, but it stays with you. Even after you leave.
There’s something about it you won’t forget.
I don’t think I ever fully expressed to the staff just how grateful I was for the way I was received. But now, four years later, I realize that experience stayed with me in ways I didn’t expect.
I kept coming back.
Traveling while carrying grief is heavy. It changes how you experience everything—including the places you stay. Before this, many of my hotel experiences felt transactional, forgettable.
But here, something shifted.
This hotel became a place where I created quiet, beautiful memories. A place that held space for me during a time when I needed it most.
And in a way, I owe a part of my healing, growth, and peace to this beautiful boutique hotel—and to the people who make it what it is.
Some places are just places.
And then some feel like home.
